Ageing populations, staff shortages, rising healthcare costs: the pressure on the health system is immense, and MedTech can play an important role in easing that pressure. From wearable treatments to soft robotic artificial hearts: how can technology help improve care? And how can these developments create more space for healthcare professionals to focus on what truly matters?
During this session, we explore what it takes to create healthcare innovations that respond to real needs and work in practice. How do we make sure we are solving a need worth solving? And what can design contribute throughout the process, from identifying unmet needs to developing technologies that work in practice?
