Expedition Methodology

The Netherlands has a valuable knowledge and innovation system that has contributed greatly to the country's current level of prosperity. However, the existing system is modeled on the idea that through market forces, a solution or product is ultimately developed, with the time factor (urgency) determined by the market. That idea is under pressure. Urgent societal questions (such as the climate goals in 2030) and economic challenges (by Covid19 for example) call for an acceleration in valorization and upscaling.

Experimenting through innovation acceleration research
With this innovation acceleration research, the Knowledge and Innovation Agenda Mission-Driven Innovation aims to develop a ‘living lab’ in which to experiment with renewed or new innovation methodologies, models, forms of work and tools. This will be done concretely by supporting several dozen partnerships, innovation programs and/or intermediary organizations in the coming years. The experiments are aimed at accelerating the realization of economic and social impact. This support will be provided by experts from knowledge institutions.

There will be €73,515 as a PPP program allowance.
