Festivals living labs for innovation

Innofest is using ten festivals as living labs for innovation. In other words: festival-driven innovation! A festival is a temporary mini-society. Much like in ordinary life, challenges can be found at a festival in terms of, energy, waste, logistics, water and food. This makes festivals a perfect testing ground for prototypes, experiments or innovations. Festivals offer the opportunity to validate ideas, gather direct feedback or to test the market-readiness of a product.

Coordinating Body SIA wants to foster research and entrepreneurship at universities of applied sciences. One of the ways they do so is by, together with Innofest, giving a number of projects the opportunity to test their prototypes or run an experiment at one of Innofest’s ten partner festivals.
