CALL FOR FIELD LAB UPPS PROJECTS

Call opens: 15 April, 2018
Closes: 15 June, 2018

The Field Lab UPPS is inviting design-driven small business owners and creative professionals to submit project proposals. As the name indicates, the projects in UPPS will concern the design of Ultra Personalized Products & Services.

3D data has brought a rich information source for designing customized products within reach. The opportunities in sports, fashion, health and security that come along with this are still far from reaching their full potential. The design methodology for UPPS is still in its infancy. Field Lap UPPS takes on challenges for UPPS design based on practice-oriented issues. It offers support by involving experts in the design of UPPS and by facilitating experiments with facilities such as 3D scanners and printers. It also organizes Meet UPPS, in which it shares results. Field Lab UPPS is located at the TU Delft.

In this first call, Field Lab UPPS is inviting creative professionals and design-driven small and medium-sized businesses to submit project proposals through which we can jointly develop UPPS knowledge in the domains of health, sports, security and fashion. 3 to 5 projects will be honored. For these projects a 50% matching grant is available from CLICKNL, with a maximum matching sum of € 10.000. The contribution of the company or the creative professional shall be a minimum of 50% of the project size in cash or in hours.
The proposal selection will take place in the Field Lab UPPS team.
