Dutch Design Week 2026

From 17 to 25 October 2026, Dutch Design Week (DDW) transforms Eindhoven into a vibrant stage for creativity and groundbreaking ideas. As one of the world's leading design events, DDW showcases the work and ideas of more than 2,500 designers across 120+ locations, attracting over 300,000 visitors from around the globe.

The nine-day programme brings together exhibitions, lectures, award ceremonies, debates, events and networking opportunities, with a strong focus on experimentation, innovation, talent and cross-disciplinary collaboration. The programme is guided by five missions (Thriving Planet, Living Environment, Digital Futures, Health & Well-being and Equal Society) reflecting the societal challenges that increasingly drive the work of designers today.

Theme: R.A.W

The theme of Dutch Design Week 2026 is R.A.W. At a time when the world is increasingly driven by control, DDW returns to the very core of design by embracing the raw, the unpolished and the authentic. Rather than beginning with perfection, design starts with the urge to explore, question and reveal new possibilities. Throughout the festival, visitors can experience not only finished work, but also ideas, experiments and works in progress that reflect design as a catalyst for renewal.

Who is it for?

Dutch Design Week welcomes designers, researchers, companies, policymakers, students, cultural organisations and anyone interested in the future of design. Whether you visit exhibitions, attend talks, join debates or explore the city, DDW offers opportunities to discover new ideas, exchange knowledge and connect with others.
