Increases quality of practical research at universities of applied sciences

RAAK-PRO: praktijkgericht onderzoek aan hogescholen

RAAK-PRO increases the quality of practical research at universities of applied sciences and improves the research capacity of the lectorates concerned. This happens in close collaboration with the national knowledge network and those in professional practice.

Thanks to the RAAK-PRO arrangement, universities of applied sciences are funded to execute practical research. Guided by a demand from professional practice (real life situations) systematic research is done with the help of knowledge institutions, universities of applied sciences and professional practice. The result is new knowledge and insights that are structurally turned into new methods or alternative actions for professionals. This should eventually have a demonstrable effect in education renewal, professional practice and the knowledge system. RAAK-PRO supports universities of applied sciences in realizing their profiling agenda and the ambition to fit regional and supraregional economical and societal developments.
