Project Mission Management

Local and regional governments play a key role in addressing societal missions such as the energy transition or poverty reduction. But how can policymakers and professionals take effective action when dealing with siloed structures, conflicting interests, and internal resistance?

This project explores how public and private organizations can strengthen their mission-driven innovation capacity. This includes the ability to work across policy domains, engage societal stakeholders, and create internal space for innovation.

The approach involves co-creation with participating organizations to develop a model that identifies the capabilities needed to effectively manage and drive missions. The project also examines how to collaborate with external partners—such as entrepreneurs and civil society organizations—to tackle complex societal challenges. The outcomes will help governments work more strategically and effectively on mission-oriented goals.

€50,000 will be used as a PPP program grant.
