Open call food and greenery - Sustainable marine entrepreneurship

For 4-year research by universities of applied sciences together with SMEs and public institutions. It is getting busier in our North Sea. With shipping, fishing, generating energy in wind farms and aquaculture, such as the cultivation of shellfish. The aim of the Sustainable Marine Entrepreneurship scheme is to ultimately achieve a balance by 2050 between ecological capacity and water management (flood risk management, freshwater supply and water quality) on the one hand, and the tasks for renewable energy, food, fisheries and other economic activities on the other.

Within the research project the central issue is: how and which action perspectives can be given for (future) entrepreneurs who want to contribute in a sustainable way to the production of food and bio-based raw materials in and near wind farms where the ecological capacity of the North Sea is leading for the use of it?

If you are a lecturer at a university of applied sciences, you can apply for funding in 2022 at the latest until 15 March, 14.00 hrs. The maximum amount you can request is €500,000. The partners in the research, including the university of applied sciences itself, contribute at least 25% of the subsidy amount. This can be in cash or in kind. The total project size is therefore at least € 625,000.
