First dialogue session on 'Research through Design'

The first dialogue session on the program Research through Design took place on Tuesday, January 24! Over 60 people got to work in 'het Huis' (Utrecht) on the question "How can we increase the impact of a designing approach on social issues?".

After an introduction, discussion took place in groups based on tensions such as "do what was agreed or do what is needed?" and "visible results or social effects?". This was deepened with concrete stories and examples. Who were involved, where were the blockages and when did acceleration occur? But also; is there any impact? And how do you value that impact? And what could help make it better? After a collective feedback in which insights and findings were shared, we look back on a successful first dialogue session!

We look forward to the next two exploratory sessions on Thursday, January 26 (online) and Thursday, February 2 (in Rotterdam). Insights and conclusions from the exploratory sessions will appear on the website www.ontwerpendeaanpak.nl during February.

After the first series of exploratory sessions, we will organize a number of in-depth sessions with specific themes. The interpretation of these will follow after the analysis of the exploratory sessions. You will find more information about locations, times and program later on this website.
