KIEM MV grant scheme: a new round is coming!

This grant scheme offers researchers and creative professionals a unique opportunity to work together in a practice-oriented way on societal challenges

Within the last round of the KIEM-scheme Maatschappelijk Verdienvermogen 2024 (KIEM MV) 11 research projects have been honored. Projects in which changemakers have an important role: professionals who work on societal challenges and transitions, and help organize and accelerate them. In the projects we see topics such as partial transport, digital skills, circularity in the fashion and textile industry and sustainable e-commerce. The common thread in the studies is that they contribute to broad prosperity through the 2 impact levels of the KIA MV: transitions and market creation.

By 2024, a total of 67 projects have received funding. Lieke Nieuwland program manager at SIA: “We are very pleased with the nice yield of projects from the scheme, with a broad diversity of topics from different disciplines. This reflects the breadth of societal issues within KIA MV.”

The KIEM MV is a collaboration between Regieorgaan SIA and CLICKNL, TKI of the Creative Industry. Bart Ahsmann, director of CLICKNL: “This scheme is of great value to the creative industry. It offers researchers and entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to work together on societal challenges in a practice-oriented way. By connecting scientific knowledge with practice, we strengthen the innovation power of professionals in the sector and contribute to sustainable growth and societal impact.”

As expected, Regieorgaan SIA will soon open the 2025 scheme. This will focus on the Agenda Design Power of the Top Sector Creative Industry. Keep an eye on our website.
