39 new projects within 'KIEM MV' grant scheme honored

39 projects have been honored in Round 2 of the 'KIEM Social Earning Capacity (MV)' grant scheme. With the KIEM schemes, Regieorgaan SIA, in cooperation with CLICKNL, stimulates one-year research projects in which practice-oriented researchers and private parties collaborate.

Changemakers
Characteristic of 'KIEM MV 2024' is the focus on the role of changemakers. Changemakers are professionals who, from a formal role, actively contribute to addressing societal challenges and transitions. They play a key role in organizing and accelerating change.

This 2nd round of pick-ups showcases a wide variety of projects that colleges and their practice partners are working on: from healthy lunch in elementary schools, sustainable packaging and materials to immersive techniques for climate-aware behavior.

In the meantime, Round 3 has also closed with a large number of applications, underlining the popularity of the scheme. A decision on which of these will be honored will follow in January 2025.

KIEM

The purpose of 'KIEM' is to (exploratory) research a new practical question through practice-oriented research activities. A network of knowledge institutions and practice partners carries these out in 1-year research projects. KIEM is deployed in several thematic KIEM schemes. Each scheme has its own call for proposals and demarcation. The 'KIEM MV' grant scheme is one of the thematic KIEM schemes.
