Volumetric video is the next big thing in media. With volumetric video you can film real people directly in 3D so that they can be seen 1 on 1 in Augmented and Virtual Reality. With volumetric video you populate the Metaverse, not with avatars, but with virtual people. However, AR/VR are not the only platforms where volumetric video has its added value, also for SFX volumetric offers completely new possibilities, as we will also show.
There are still only a handful of volumetric capture stages in the world. And the Netherlands has the highest quality volumetric capture studio. Over the past 2 years, the creative industries and the research institutes have collaborated here in a worldwide unique study into the pros and cons of volumetric video. During the Dutch Media Week we will share the first results of Chronosphere. And do you want to get started with it yourself? Be there, and keep an eye on us.
