The Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco is the longest-running and largest game-event in the world for professionals within the games industry. Next to the yearly (main) event in San Francisco, there are also GDCs held in Europe and China. The GDC is the longest-running games industry event for professionals from around the world, including programmers, artists, game designers, producers, audio-professionals, sales managers, and other professionals involved in the games industry. With more than 26,000 visitors in 2015, it has grown into the world’s largest event for professionals within the games industry. The most important component of the GDC is the conference, during which visitors take part in hundreds of sessions, panels, and tutorials during the course of a week. The themes covered will be:

Open Call from Creative Industries Fund NL for participation at the GDC The Creative Industries Fund NL is calling on all players in the games industry to submit a proposal aimed at potentially participation in the Local Multiplayer event during the GDC 2016 in San Francisco (14 - 18 March). Send in your game and a motivation letter no later than the 19th of October. This open call offers the only opportunity to be supported by the Creative Industries Fund NL during a participation at the GDC.
The Independent Games Festival, Indie Summit, and Game Developers Choice Awards Aside from the GDC’s conference program, there will also be the Independent Games Festival, the Game Developers Choice Awards and the Indie Summit held at the GDC. The chosen projects from the Creative Industries Fund NL’s open call will receive tickets to the Indie Summit, next to the opportunity to present the project(s).
