Design Research & Innovation Festival DRIVE

Again last year, CLICKNL organised the Design Research & Innovation Festival DRIVE, together with 4TU research centre Design United. This year with a brand new set-up! During Dutch Design Week, live and online audience and speakers came together during interactive, inspiring online DRIVE sessions. Five days in a row, five different themes.

Research results on the drive themes

In 2020, Design United researchers conducted inventory studies for five World Design Embassies, within the social themes of DRIVE. Where do we stand now and what do we already know about these themes? Are you curious about the results?

the Embassies

The DRIVE sessions are being programmed in conjunction with various Embassies of the World Design Embassy programme. Together with all its partners; designeers, as well as public and private parties, WDE organises various thematic exhibitions every year. With this, the social challenges were central at Dutch Design Week, both physically and figuratively. By linking DRIVE to the Embassies this year, we reinforced our shared message that the creative industry contributes to solutions to social challenges with knowledge and innovation and a people-oriented approach.
