Fair practice code in practice; how to redesign a code of conduct for measurable behavioural change
The fair practice code was a code of conduct created by and for the cultural sector. Many stakeholders agreed on the importance of this code, but putting it in practice was a different thing altogether. (ink) social design was asked by the ministry of OCW and Kunsten '92 to think about the implementation of the fair practice code in a way that would lead to measurable behavioral change and a more fair sector. Due to partner Kunsten 92 (ink). social design was able to take a truly systemic approach from the start and involve all stakeholders from the start. The organization ended up creating three different interventions that will help the most important players in the field change their attitudes and behaviors towards more fair practice. One of these interventions is implemented and doing much better even then expected, helping cultural institutes change their business operations in very concrete and measurable ways.
