The Innovation Impact Challenge (IIC) is an innovation competition through which the government challenges entrepreneurs to develop solutions for societal challenges. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) runs these competitions on behalf of various public authorities.

On 31 March 2026, a new call will open focusing on immersive experiences (IX) for social inclusion. It aims to develop innovative applications that contribute to more accessible public services and help reach (vulnerable) residents more effectively.

Purpose
The call focuses on solutions that strengthen community resilience and social connectedness in neighbourhoods. Entrepreneurs are invited to develop innovative products or services that improve the accessibility of public services.
The government may act as a ‘launching customer’ for the solutions developed.

Who can apply
The scheme is intended for entrepreneurs and IX makers developing innovative solutions using immersive technologies with societal impact.

When
The call opens on 31 March 2026 at 09:00 and closes on 28 April 2026 at 17:00.
An information meeting will take place on 7 April 2026 in Eindhoven, where the call will be explained and participants can ask questions.
