Renewable Energy Transition (HER+)
Are you working on innovative projects that lead to CO2 reduction in 2030? You may be able to make use of the RVO Renewable Energy Transition (HER+) grant.
CO₂-reduction
Your innovation project reduces CO2 emissions by using renewable (sustainable) energy, such as solar, wind or hydropower. Or your project reduces the cost of CO2 reduction through CO2-saving technologies, such as CO2 capture and storage, hydrogen or waste heat. It can be an industrial research, experimental development, energy demonstration project or a combination of these. you will receive a grant for the costs of these types of innovation projects.
The innovation in your project must lead to CO2 reductions in 2030 and thus help achieve the climate goals. Your innovation must also save on future spending on subsidies. These savings must be greater than the subsidy you applied for your project.
Is it an offshore wind energy project? Then saving on expenditure under the SDE++ is not a condition. Your project must then lead to CO2 reduction in 2030 and to cost benefits greater than the subsidy applied for. This applies when building or operating wind farms to be built at sea in the territorial waters and exclusive economic zone of the Netherlands.
