Open Call Room for Talent #5

The Creative Industries Fund NL invites architects, designers and makers to submit a proposal for a research, experiment or development of new knowledge in collaboration with a lab, development site or workshop. With this call, the Fund wants to enable designers to create an environment together with a partner, in which experimentation, establishing new relationships and sharing knowledge are central. Deadline is Wednesday 2 September 2020.

The fund is making € 250,000 available for the fifth and final round of the Open Call Room for Talent. Ten special collaborations can be supported with this.

Call setup
The maximum contribution per project is € 25,000. Condition for support is that there is a new collaboration between a designer and a partner that contributes substantially and facilitates the project. Depending on the project, the collaborations can vary in form. Think of a (material) research within a lab, a residence at a knowledge institution, a special collaboration with a development site or an experimental research with a partner from industry or business.

The subsidy is divided into two parts. € 15,000 is reserved for the designer and € 10,000 for the facilities and knowledge of the partner. The amounts are granted under condition of a cooperation agreement that must be submitted no later than four weeks after the granting.
