DesignDigger is launching an OPEN CALL for a longread, podcast or image essay on the designer as future thinker. Designers are increasingly developing hypothetical future scenarios on social issues such as climate change, technology and social inequality. But how realistic are these futures? And is this design at all?

Therefore, this OPEN CALL for critical reflection on the thesis:

For a meaningful exploration of the future, designers are indispensable
The OPEN CALL is for a longread (guideline 1000 words) or a podcast (max 30 minutes) but also a visual lecture or a speculative design and/or prototype with a detailed description.

Working budget: 500 euros. The deadline for the OPEN CALL is August 1, 2024.
