The call
With this Open Call, Arcam calls on architects or spatial thinkers to visually elaborate their vision of the house of the future. Participants have the freedom to create a realistic or speculative, utopian or dystopian design. The focus should be on the spatial design of the house and/or immediate surroundings, but this design can reflect complex social, economic, ecological, post-anthropocene or extraterrestrial futures scenarios. Experimental and conceptual works are welcomed!

Output
The speculative draft can be submitted in several forms:

  • As a 2D image, for example in the form of a drawing, render, photo collage or otherwise.
  • As a 3D spatial design, for example in the form of a model.
  • As a video, for example an animation.
  • As a spatial installation

Participants
This call is open to all makers, creatives, architects, interior designers, landscape designers, urban planners and spatial thinkers.

The submitted work may be developed individually or in groups. We applaud an interdisciplinary perspective and an experimental (multimedia) elaboration.

Both new and existing work are eligible for selection.
