Open call

Culture for climate

For projects that contribute to a sustainable future with social design and co-creation. For strengthening the link between culture and climate.

Climate change is an urgent problem. One of the goals of the Paris 2050 climate agreement is to limit climate warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Immediate action, new experiments and increased awareness are necessary. The Fund for Cultural Participation is therefore launching the Open Call Culture for Climate. Because culture plays an important role in contributing to a sustainable future.

To make the greatest possible impact, the Open Call focuses on co-creation and social design. In the projects, social designers or other artists work in co-creation with participants on sustainable initiatives. Social design as a principle or methodology is an important starting point. The organization seeks projects that involve both exploration and development and implementation of the process. Through social design and co-creation, the participants' perspective on action is increased, leading to greater awareness of the role people can play in addressing climate change.

*The Fund collaborates with What Design Can Do (CLICKNL is a partner), an international organization dedicated to accelerating the transition to a sustainable, fair and just society through design. *
