KIVI ENGINEERS HELP WITH CORONACRISIS

The corona crisis hits the world and the Netherlands hard. If the crisis persists for several weeks and continues to grow, shortages may arise. Not only because of a higher demand for known products such as face masks, but also because of the need for potential new products or new applications. And you can contribute to that.

An example: Already on 16 March, a message came along from someone who is trying to develop a simple ventilator to quickly produce large quantities of face masks. He only lacked knowledge in a few areas to assemble such a product quickly, safely and soundly. Old respiratory and Defence equipment are currently being made available. This requires maintenance. However, this type of problem can also arise in many other areas.

There, KIVI as an association with 18,000 members may make an important difference. Especially because many of its members work somewhere where this knowledge is already being used and in some cases are sitting at home due to a drop in demand. The need for support for the vital sectors can arise in many areas. From ICT to transport and logistics, from medical technology to telecommunications and from 3D printing to CAD / CAM. Knowledge from a completely different sector may also contribute to a solution. This way you can contribute to this crisis as a member!

Through a short advice, by helping to find a solution or by using your company's knowledge and products on points that are very much needed.
