Apply before Feb. 28: 'Creative Impact Fund'

With the Creative Impact Fund, CIRCE supports practitioners from the cultural and creative industries. The focus is on the implementation or further development of entrepreneurial project ideas that work on innovative solutions to the major issues and challenges of the present and future.

In total, the Creative Impact Fund will fund 13 entrepreneurial innovation projects, including five projects whose solution approaches are field-tested and ready for the next development step, and eight project ideas that aim to achieve a proof of concept of their own project.

Who can apply?
Artists, entrepreneurs, students and other actors and consortia from all creative fields with a mission-oriented innovation or bold idea for a real impact in the world can apply. The Creative Impact Fund promotes creative and innovative approaches to solving current challenges facing society as a whole from all areas of the cultural and creative industries. The prerequisite is a company location or residence in one of the 46 states of the Council of Europe or Kosovo.

5 projects for scalable solutions:
Entrepreneurial Projects that have already been successfully tested in practice can be supported in the Creative Impact Fund with up to 200,000 euros to take the next development step with their company or project.

8 projects for proof-of-concept:
Entrepreneurial project ideas that aim for a proof of concept are given the chance to prove the potential of their solution approach in the Creative Impact Fund with funding of up to 50,000 euros.

Possible areas of action:

The Creative Impact Fund supports project proposals that develop innovative approaches to current and future challenges and potential crises. The following list provides an overview of possible subject areas. Contents Emphasis can also be placed on other areas, provided that the social impact of the project idea can be conclusively demonstrated.

  • Climate change and environmental degradation – The urgent need for action and coordination
  • Globalization and diversity – Towards diverse and inclusive growth
  • Social inequality, value- and solidarity-based economies – Avenues for a fairer society
  • Solutions for pandemics – Impact minimization and prevention
  • Demographic changes and aging democracies – Navigating challenges and seizing opportunities
  • Technology, digital and social transformation – Preparing for the forthcoming disruption

You need to start by filling in a form before February 28. By filling in this form, you will get access to the application portal. The application portal will be open from March 1 until March 10. So be on time!
