Museum Grants

The programme facilitates talent development and scientific research in the museum sector.

The grants are intended for individual employees of museums who carry out research related to the collection. Therefore the research proposal must clearly explain the importance of the research for the museum institution or the museum sector.

What to apply for
Applicants may apply for a grant of 10.000 to 50.000 euros. The research project has a maximum duration of two years.

The museum finances at least 20% of the total project budget in cash or in kind.

When to apply

• The first deadline for submitting an application is 22 December 2022, 14:00 CET.
• The second deadline for submitting an application is 25 May 2023, 14:00 CET.
