How big is your world?
The night of space
On Thursday, June 19, INNOVATE, together with Quest Magazine, HAN University of Applied Sciences, and other partners, presents a new edition of The Night of Space. This fourth edition takes place at the Goffert Open Air Theatre in Nijmegen and revolves around the central question: How big is your world?
Scientists, artists, and tech thinkers offer new perspectives on the concept of space. Milo Grootjen (Artis Planetarium) explains how we measure the scale of the universe, while Kim Meijer (HAN) explores the ethical choices we make about how we use space here on Earth.
Bas Bloem (Radboudumc) shows how art can help expand the world of people living with Parkinson’s. Sita Struijke (Schemerlicht Festival) dives into the power of immersive experiences, and Celia Okoro, Nijmegen’s Night Mayor, makes a case for more room for the night. The evening ends with the Quest Quiz and live music by Ayralynn.
