Networking Event

The future of 'live'

In the live entertainment industry, physical and digital experiences are increasingly merging. This is changing the role of venues and events, raising the question of whether they can contribute to innovation from their knowledge and experience. With the help of various experts, ranging from researchers to entrepreneurs, we examine how the music sector can contribute to the development and broad implementation of new digital applications.

Guest speakers:

Esther Hammelburg, media scholar and senior lecturer at HvA, discusses how digital technologies are blurring the lines between physical and digital live experiences;

Maarten Walraven, co-CEO of Symphony.live and co-author of MUSIC x, highlights the synergy between music and technology as a harbinger of new systems;

Max Tiel & Joost de Boo, founders Thunderboom Records, demonstrate how, in collaboration with pop venues, musicians, designers and technology developers, they are creating innovative applications, focusing on transparency, inclusivity and complementarity.

In doing so, we will also engage with the audience about the challenges and opportunities they see. The meet-up will conclude with lunch, an opportunity to exchange ideas and explore collaboration opportunities. Participants can also attend the CPFE conference at a discount.

The session will be led by Dymphie Braun and is organised in cooperation with Thunderboom Records, VNPF.
