NFF Focustalk: Moonshot Session About the Distribution of IX
The Dutch digital culture sector has a rich tradition of creating productions that are both technically innovative and conceptually strong. This quality is internationally recognized, yet the sector continues to face persistent challenges – especially in the distribution and presentation of immersive projects.
During this Moonshot Session, the results of the second part of a two-part study into these structural issues will be presented. The research is coordinated by Moonshot Digital Culture and funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW). Researcher Siuli Ko will share the findings and engage in a discussion with the sector about both the challenges and possible solutions.
The evening will open with a keynote by Keri Elmsly, who has been at the forefront of large-scale immersive experiences for over 25 years. She will explore the differences between the free market and the cultural sector – and what these two worlds can learn from one another. A moderated panel discussion, led by Dymphie Braun, will then dive deeper into the research results with a range of speakers from the field. The evening concludes with informal drinks, offering space to share experiences, exchange ideas, and connect.
This session is particularly relevant for makers, researchers, policymakers, and entrepreneurs working with immersive content and looking for ways to make distribution and presentation more sustainable for the future.
