Immersive experiences: beyond the headset

Chances are you've ever put on VR glasses and entered a completely different world with them. And when we talk about immersive media, this is an image many people have to think of right away. During this second 2024 Creative Power Session, you'll discover that the world of immersive media extends much further. Beyond the headset.

Centre of Expertise for Creative Innovation brings together researchers, teachers, students and creators to shine their light on the topic from different angles. You will discuss not only the technology of XR/VR/AR to create controlled environments for education and organizations, but also the applications and experiences in the creative field such as dance, theater, visual arts, music, fashion and the museum world.

Speakers
One of the guest speakers is Erik Lint, working at the Academy of Theatre and Dance of the Amsterdam School of the Arts. He will take you through his research in which he explores the boundary between the real and the virtual. He will also introduce you to the IDlab, a meeting place and laboratory where students from various courses are introduced to the application of new technologies in the performing arts.
