Dutch Digital Conference

From 18 to 21 March 2019, the first Dutch Digital Conference will take place. The aim of this four-day conference is to enable science, industry, civil society organisations and government to jointly give direction to and seek solutions for societal and economic challenges in a society and economy that are rapidly digitising. The theme for this first edition of the conference is: Smart applications in the area of artificial intelligence (AI).

The “Nederland Digitaal” Conference is an event that consists of several linked events. These include the Smart Industry Annual Event, ICT.OPEN and the concluding digital day. The Dutch economy and society are digitising rapidly, and that offers opportunities. With an outstanding digital infrastructure and a well-trained professional workforce, the Netherlands has a solid starting position to make the most of those opportunities. We want the digital opportunity to be available to everybody: young and old, students and starters, SMEs and large companies. The relevant parties can integrally tackle the digital challenges and learn from each other. This will result in a stronger Dutch economy and consolidate the Netherlands’ position as a digital trailblazer in Europe. The Nederland Digitaal Conference brings parties together and is a catalyst for integral collaboration. During the conference, the Dutch Digitisation Strategy will be further developed and the results of this will be presented.

The overarching theme of the week will consider artificial intelligence and its applications in various sectors. This is a golden thread in the programming. Furthermore, the programme will focus on connecting and sharing inspiration, available knowledge and innovations in the digital field. This will happen by means of debates, workshops, training sessions and a continuous innovation market, and more.

The programming of the various activities is in full progress.

Further information about the programme and the event will shortly be available at the Nederland Digitaal website.
