Marina Toeters is dedicated to designing and prototyping innovative textile products and garments: forward fashion. Recently she launched Closed Loop Smart Athleisure Fashion: smart shirts that continuously measure the ladies’ key vital signals based on advanced printed sensor technologies on flexible substrates for textile integration. The laminated sensors are wearable and invisible during use, washable up to 25 cycles, and designed for unobtrusive integration in conventional fashion production. Marina thinks the biggest challenge in the future is to produce wearable electronics locally and in a circular system.
