ACTIONPLAN CIRCULAR TEXTILES (ACT)

INFINITE TEXTILE

Due to new European legislation, sustainable and circular textiles will become the norm.
To meet these requirements, the textile sector must transition to a circular value chain. This calls for new coherence, collaboration, and focused action.

ACT – the Actionplan Circular Textiles – brings together stakeholders and provides direction for the transition.
ACT connects existing and new initiatives, links economic earning capacity to ecological goals and societal value, and aligns public and private actors at regional, national, and international levels. It builds on current policy, legislation, and the sector's ambitions.

In this next phase, participating organizations will deepen their collaboration, sharpen the action plan, and take the first concrete steps toward a circular textile chain.

THE ACT PROGRAM

In the coming period, the focus will be on:

  • Bringing together businesses, governments, and knowledge institutions to jointly shape the action plan and work on its implementation
  • Translating actions into four strategic lines: facilitating collaboration, digitalization and automation, the use of renewable resources, and the development of sustainable business models
  • Aligning existing and new initiatives with policy goals and legislation, such as the Circular Textile Policy Programme 2025–2030 and the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles
  • Building support and shared ownership among government, industry, and knowledge institutions

Help drive the Actionplan Circular Textiles forward

CLICKNL stimulates collaboration across the textile chain and coordinates the Actionplan Circular Textiles to spark a movement. Within this network, we organize meetings and working sessions to share knowledge, refine and initiate actions, and foster cooperation. Where needed, external expertise is brought in to strengthen the process.
