Open call: food and greenery: Recycle Stimulator

For 2-year research by universities of applied sciences together with SMEs or public institutions. Entrepreneurs need direction and support in their development towards circular agriculture. In 2021, the Louis Bolk Institute and Wageningen Research therefore developed a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). By working with these KPIs, the entrepreneur gains insight into the results of his own actions based on data about climate, biodiversity and nature, but also financial-economic data at company level. Although the KPIs are publicly available, entrepreneurs do not automatically use them on their own farm to take steps in the implementation of circular agriculture.

Within this theme, the central question is: How can the entrepreneur gain more insight into the costs, results and effects of available action perspectives for the transition to circular agriculture in his own company?

If you are a lecturer at a university of applied sciences, you can apply for funding in 2022 at the latest until 15 March, 14.00 hrs. The maximum amount you can request is €500,000. The partners in the research, including the university of applied sciences itself, contribute at least 25% of the subsidy amount. This can be in cash or in kind. The total project size is therefore at least € 625,000.
