CIRCO at DDW: Embassy of Circularity

CLICKNL’s CIRCO program is one of the partners pulling people into the new Embassy of Circularity at the Dutch Design Week 2018! The Embassy of Circularity, that can be seen from 20 to 28 October, focuses on circular living. It is the first time the Dutch Design Week has such a large focus on the circular economy. Other partners in the Embassy of Circularity are ABN AMRO, DEMEEUW, New Horizon and Urban Mining Collective. Drop in!

As part of the DDW, the Embassy of Circularity will use an exhibition and live program to research how we can create fully circular apartments by the year 2020. From building materials to furniture, business models and electronic devices, there are so many more questions to answer before circular living is the new standard. CIRCO will help design and implement the embassy.

In addition to the central exhibition and program, CIRCO also has their own plot in the same space. We will tell people about CIRCO, but also show them some products from (former) participants to enhance the story. A beautiful opportunity for the whole Dutch Design Week public to get to know CIRCO and possible outcomes of ‘creating business through circular design’.

Embassies at the DDW
Dutch Design Foundation (DDF), the driving force behind the Dutch Design Week and the World Design Event, believes in the positive power of design in shaping the world of tomorrow. The creative embassies that they facilitate every year form communities of international creative thinkers and doers, urban innovators, business communities, entrepreneurs, educational institutions and government institutions. Within these embassies, these parties will take on the future challenges that cities and inhabitants will have to face. The creative embassies for this year will zoom in on six topics: circularity, health, mobility, food, water and urban transformation.
